Warm, round and naturally sweet — the oldest, most comforting pairing in the Chinese kitchen.

THE ORIGIN
Ruoqiang, Xinjiang
On the rim of the Taklamakan desert, between shifting sand and the Kunlun's snow, sits Ruoqiang — and the grey jujube it grows is called the first date of China. Irrigated by glacial melt and ripened across a 28-degree daily swing, its flesh is dense and its core small. We pair it with our plateau goji: warmth in a single cup.
- Ingredients
- Ruoqiang grey jujube (Xinjiang), plateau goji berries.
- How to brew
- One sachet, 300ml water at 90°C, steep 5 minutes. Good simmered.
